(Nebraska) A glassware designer who has been featured in magazines, upscale catalogs and finer retail stores throughout the United States since 1994. Young incorporates a keen design sense while using baked-on metallic and enamel paints under glass. Her technique consists of painting layers on the backside of glass, which allows her to blend, shape and color through sponging, drawing and combing which results in a rich, complicated surface design. She currently works out of her studio in Nebraska where she relocated from the hectic pace of California in the summer of 2001. Available at our Burlingame location
