(Pennsylvania) Jeanne Petrosky dabbled in many artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpting, printmaking, pottery, glass blowing, jewelry making and weaving before focusing her passion on paper sculpting. Her work has been featured in many newspapers and magazines for its unusual style. Using only acid-free fibers of 100% cotton linter, Petrosky blends the fibers with water to create a pulp that is then colored with light-fast pigments. The pulp is formed into a sheet of paper, and sculpted after drying. Petrosky's designs are inspired by simplicity, particularly drawing from a Japanese aesthetic. Her free flowing, abstract forms of gathered sheets of paper and stone-like 'tiles' are guaranteed to delight. Available at our Oakland and Burlingame locations
