RETAIL SALES POSITION AVAILABLE - PART-TIME

Located in the Oakland Hills for almost 50 years, Pot-Pourri features the finest collection of handmade art and craft from artists around the country. We specialize in ceramics, blown glass, wood, art jewelry, garden art, unique books and cards, along with an eclectic assortment of gift and home décor items. We strive to provide a pleasant atmosphere and a memorable experience for our customers through excellent service and exceptional merchandise.
Pot-Pourri is currently looking for great people interested in filling a part-time retail sales position. While no experience is necessary, interested persons should be willing to perform a variety of duties and have a positive attitude!
Duties include:
- Sales (using a basic cash register)
- Customer service
- Displays and merchandising
- Gift packaging and wrapping
- Basic computer data entry
- Cleaning and maintenance
Qualified candidates should possess these qualities:
o Dependable and trustworthy
o Effective communication skills
o Ability to work as part of a team
o Excellent customer service skills
o Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
o Flexibility in scheduling
o Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
o Interest in art encouraged
o Sense of humor is a must
