SCHLABAUGH & SONS

(Iowa) Emil Schlabaugh got his start in the woodworking business by building homes and custom cabinetry. After teaching the craft to sons Mark and John, the three originated Schlabaugh and Sons to create beautiful, traditionally constructed table clocks. Though Emil retired in the 1990s, his sons kept the original business name as a reminder of their father's contribution: lessons about custom woodwork that have been all but forgotten in today's mass production marketplace.
